Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the site. By creating an account you confirm that you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be 13 or over to create an account. Buying and selling on Vinted itself is subject to Vinted's own age rules.

2. What the site does

• It shows new listings from Vinted's public catalogue that match our filters, or filters you set up in your own browser, with links to the listing on Vinted.
• It is free. We don't sell anything on the site and we don't charge you.
• The site never buys, makes offers, sends messages or does anything else on Vinted for you. Every button opens Vinted, and anything you buy there is between you and the seller under Vinted's own terms.
• The optional Vinted Monitor Helper browser extension, if you install it, presses Vinted's own Buy now, Make an offer and Ask seller buttons in your browser when you click the matching button, one action per click. It never pays: you confirm every purchase on Vinted's checkout. Offers and messages it sends are sent from your Vinted account, as if you had sent them yourself. Vinted's terms may not allow tools like this; using it is your choice and your responsibility.
• "Usually £X", "% below" and "Deals" are rough estimates from asking prices of similar listings we have seen recently. They are not sold prices and not financial or buying advice. Listings can be wrong, out of date, already sold, counterfeit or not as described: always check on Vinted before you buy.

3. Your account

• Use your own email address and keep your password secret. One account per person; don't share it.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can delete your account at any time with "Delete account" at the top of the listings page, or by emailing us.
• We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, puts the site or other people at risk, or that we reasonably think is being misused. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

4. Rules for using the site

You must not:

• copy, scrape or download the site's listings or data with bots, scripts or other automated tools, or republish or resell them;
• try to get into accounts, systems or data you're not allowed to, test or break the site's security, or overload it;
• use information about Vinted sellers shown on the site to contact, harass or spam them outside Vinted, or for anything unlawful;
• use the site in a way that breaks the law or Vinted's own terms.

5. Content and intellectual property

Listing titles, photos and descriptions belong to the Vinted sellers who posted them (and Vinted). The site shows them only to point you to the listing on Vinted; photos are loaded straight from Vinted's servers, not copied. The site's own design, text and code belong to us. If you think something on the site infringes your rights, or you are a seller who wants your listings or details removed, email us and we will deal with it promptly.

6. Availability

The site runs on our own computer and free hosting. It may be slow, offline, changed or stopped at any time, and we don't promise that it will show every listing, or show it first. We will try to give notice before closing the site for good.

7. Our responsibility to you

• Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. If you use the site as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected by these terms.
• The site is a free information service. We are not responsible for anything you buy or sell on Vinted, for items that are fake, faulty or not as described, for prices or estimates shown here, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.
• If you use the site for a business (for example, reselling), we are not liable to you for loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity, and our total liability to you is limited to £50.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the site or the law changes. We will change the date at the top, and tell signed-in users on the site about significant changes before they take effect. If you don't agree with new terms, you can delete your account.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first: most problems can be sorted out by email.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we hold, why, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. [YOUR NAME] is the controller of this data. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].

What we collect about account holders

• Account details: your email address, your password (we only keep a salted, one-way hash of it, never the password itself), when you created the account and when you accepted these terms.
• Sign-in and security data: your active sessions (a random sign-in cookie, stored only as a hash), how many times and when you last signed in, when you were last active (updated at most every 5 minutes), wrong-password attempts and any temporary sign-in lock (counted per network address, which we keep only as a keyed one-way hash), and whether an administrator has suspended the account. When an account is created we also keep a keyed one-way hash of the network address it came from for a day, to limit how many accounts one network can create.
• Technical data: when you use the site, our hosting providers process your IP address, browser type, the pages and searches you request and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our own computer receives your requests through Cloudflare and may log the page or search requested, but not your IP address or email.
• Your own filters ("My filters") are saved only in your browser. When a filter runs, its settings are sent to us to search the listings; we don't store them against your account.
• Saved listings ("Saved", the heart button): kept with your account, so they follow you to other devices, until you remove them or delete the account. For each one we keep the listing's title, price, brand, size, condition, photo link, links and when you saved it, and the seller's Vinted member number, rating and country; not the seller's username or profile photo. Listings saved before you signed in move to your account the next time you sign in.
• Messages you send us by email.

Members who have been given direct access to our API, dashboard or Discord bot (not needed for the website) may also have: a display name, Discord user ID, the Discord webhook or ntfy topic they chose for alerts, their saved filters and alert history, sellers they follow, stock and expense records they enter, and, if they connect eBay, eBay access tokens, stored encrypted.

Vinted sellers

If you sell on Vinted, the site may hold information from your public listings and profile, taken from Vinted's public catalogue and item pages: listing details (title, description, price, size, brand, condition, photo links), your Vinted member number, username, profile photo link, rating and number of reviews. We use it to show new listings to our users and to estimate typical prices. Listings are deleted after 24 hours, including those that matched one of our filters (our users' alert history); your username and profile photo are never kept on a listing for more than 30 days. To estimate typical prices we also keep a short record of every listing for 21 days: its title, brand, item type, size, condition and price, with no seller details. If one of our users saves your listing, a copy without your username or profile photo stays with their account until they remove it. We don't copy photos (they load from Vinted), and we never contact sellers. You can object at any time: email us and we will stop showing your listings and remove your details.

Why we use it, and our legal bases

We don't send marketing, show adverts, sell or rent personal data, or make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, the account database and the secure connection to our computer, as our processor.
• Vinted: listing photos load straight from Vinted's servers (no referring page is sent), so Vinted sees your IP address when they load, and Vinted's terms and privacy policy apply when you open a listing. The "eBay sold" button opens eBay in the same way.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

International transfers

Cloudflare is based in the United States and may process data there or in other countries. It protects it under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in its data processing terms.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You have the right to: get a copy of your data; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict or object to how we use it; and receive data you gave us in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email us; we'll reply within one month, and it's free. You can also delete your account yourself with "Delete account" on the listings page. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Security

The site only works over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2 (100,000 rounds, a unique salt per password); sign-in cookies are random, HttpOnly and Secure, and stored only as hashes; repeated wrong passwords from one network lock that network out of the account for 15 minutes, and one network can create at most 5 accounts an hour. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the ICO where the law requires it.

Children

You must be 13 or over to create an account. We don't knowingly hold data about anyone younger; if you think we do, email us and we will delete it. For everyone, including under-18s, the site keeps privacy-friendly settings: we collect only what is needed to sign you in, there is no profiling, tracking or advertising, and nothing you do is shared with other users.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes, and tell signed-in users on the site about significant changes.

Cookie Notice

We only use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for the site to work as you ask. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to accept.

Listing photos and seller pictures are loaded from Vinted's servers. Your browser's rules on third-party cookies apply to those requests; we don't ask Vinted to set any cookies. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, but if you block the sid cookie you won't be able to sign in.
